An environmental catastrophe destroys civilization. Thousands are starving. Millions are dead. Resources are used up, poisoned and polluted. Found among the survivors are the Custance clan. Led by father John (Nigel Davenport) and mother Ann (Jean Wallace), they abandon their London home and head for the sanctuary of John’s brother’s farm. But their quest for safety takes them across a country fast descending into barbarism, where the law of the gun prevails, and the civilized values they once took for granted become the price they must pay if they are to survive…
